Italy
The Italian Peninsula was first inhabited 43,000 years ago by humans who have relatively modern anatomy. The Neolithic reached the Peninsula as early as 6000 B.C we can look at pottery that made found in the peninsula. Around 1500 B.C the Italian Bronze Age began likely to the fact of Indo European speakers whose descendants would become the Italic Peoples of the Iron Age along side some other italic cultures. One of the Italic Peoples was the Latins who settled in Latium and there Latin language would come to dominate the Italian Peninsula and start the Roman Conquest of Italy in the 3rd century B.C. This Roman Republic would then become the Roman Empire would rule the land for centuries and establish a culture and civilization in Western Europe and this culture would later influence the rest of Europe when the Medieval Age ended and The Renaissance began.
I selected this place because I love history and Italy has an intersting history that would change Europe and the modern world.
