What I think this means is if you are kind you are great because great means good and if you are kind to others people will begin to see you as a great person. A person who helps better the world is great in the way that they do something big for a good cause. Though to be great you must first start small and help people so you can get the mind set about helping people which will give you progress towards helping or starting an organization that helps our world.
