A radiation therapist uses beams of radiated light to locate and treat cancerous tumors. Radiation therapist work with cancer patients and use radiation in order to remove the tumor. Since they work with cancer patients they need to be empathetic and they must be able to carry the patient because the patient may be disabled because of their condition.

Educational Requirement: A radiation therapist needs to have a 2-4 year program in radiation therapy or a degree in radiography combined with a 1 year radiation therapy program.
Demand: This is a job that is high in demand because of the rise of cancer more and more people have become radiation therapists and it is estimated that it is a 20% increase in the amount of people with this job for the years 2010-2020.
