If telling a lie to hide the truth you may find yourself telling another lie to back up the other lie and think it is the easy way to avoid trouble or punishment but it makes it worse. The only way to avoid trouble is to tell the truth. Always speaking the truth means being a good person who can be trusted. Lying has alot of consequences when being honest it doens't. Lying is no way to escape your problem like lying about doing your homework there will be evidence that shows you lied and the consequence will be worse.

no matter how small of a lie or how harmless it is it creates a habbit which will lead to more possibly dangerous lies.
